We live in a world where traditions are revered. From a very young age, some of us were broken down and molded to walk a particular path, act in a specific manner and live within the norms set by society. To break free from these chains not only takes immense courage but also needs a certain amount of madness.
We have heard of trailblazers who change our perspectives and world views throughout our lives. Amelia Earhart, Henry Ford, Jeanne Baret, John Armstrong Howard, etc were all trailblazers, experimenters, and pathfinders whom we have heard of and admire. As we are celebrating them this month let’s take a peek into one such trailblazer Nishmita D’Souza, founder of Amplifying Voices as we discuss the challenges she faced, the choices she made, and learn about her support system. And in doing so, we hope to learn about human tenacity and vigor.
- Accepting yourself for who you are
- Techniques to go through the good and bad times
- Engaging in something bigger than you
- Purpose and project
- Challenging the status quo
- Finding ways to motivate yourself
