ICF Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP)
Basic Coach Training with Coacharya
Coacharya’s Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) is a flexible and affordable way to complete your requirements towards ACC credential, or EIA Practitioner credential. In addition to classroom, learners spend two hours of self-study per module, and turn in assignments for trainer and peer review. Participants also engage in peer coaching for a minimum of 100 hours, though this is not required by credentialing bodies. Furthermore, Coacharya supports former learners with free ongoing online programs, which can be applied towards credential renewal (CCE).
Completion of our Basic program allows participants to pursue their ACC certification under the ACSTH route. Most of our learners, however, continue on with our Advanced program, for a total of 125 training hours and opportunity to pursue their PCC certification. You can learn about our Advanced program here.

Coacharya’s Basic / ACC training is meant for executives and professionals with substantial corporate experience, including:
- Executives and professional who wish to upgrade their current capabilities to apply in their current work and life. This includes those in career transitions or in retirement.
- Entrepreneurs and start-up founders who plan to branch out on their own using coaching as their business objective.
- Managers who could use coach training at their workplace
- Students pursuing professional graduate programs in business, law, psychology, and medicine.
We’re pleased to offer several ACC program structures, suited to busy professionals:
- Weekly online programs over the course of 6 months, 2-3 hours per session
- Weekly face-to-face programs for 9 – 10 hours/day, over 6 – 12 days, over 3 – 6 months total
- Blended online and face-to-face – these programs usually start as face-to-face and the cohort decides on an online schedule as part of their experience.
50% of session time is spent on interactive discussion of concepts and coaching applications. This happens through trainer instruction, question and answers, discussion on books and videos, coaching role-plays relating to live issues, and discussion of cases. The other half of each session is spent on observed/mentored coaching in pairs and teams (dyads/triads/fishbowl formats).
Some of the Observed Coaching sessions are conducted via live teleclass mode to familiarize students with telephonic/audio coaching. This prepares learners to be effective when working with clients across all media and timezones.
You can see a detailed outline of all modules covered in our coach training programs here. Or, please get in touch with us to request a PDF copy.
All Basic program learners are expected to attend 60 hours of classroom instruction. Additionally, they will receive 10 hours of mentoring with an MCC level coach, and 100 hours of peer coaching. Finally, learners complete at least 2 assignments to witness their self-study throughout the program.
Upon successful fulfillment of Coacharya requirements outlined above, participants can apply for ACC credentials through the ASCTH route with ICF. Or, learners can continue their work with Coacharya and complete the Advanced program, which lets them apply for PCC credentials with ICF through ACTP route. Please contact us for more details.
