Tina Sidhu

Tina is an alumnus of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, Master of Education Leadership and Policy Program. She is an educator and works with the Peel District School Board as a teacher and administrator at the secondary level. Tina also facilitates a certificate program with Humber College exploring Intercultural Contexts.

Tina was the founder and director for a non for profit community organization Inventure Academy where academic goals in literacy, numeracy, and robotics were offered to students in grades 1 – 8 with the mindset of curriculum gap closing based on community needs.

Working alongside many community groups including Foodbanks, Peel Art Museum and Archives, Punjabi Community Health Services, Malton Neighbourhood Services, and city counselors in the Greater Toronto Area, in Canada, Tina has a passion for connecting youth with their communities.

Tina is passionate about equity, and working towards anti-racism and anti-oppression in education through self-empowerment.
