ICF Advanced Certification in Team Coaching (ACTC)
Systemic Team Coaching is an approach to coaching that focuses on the dynamics and interactions of a team, as well as the wider system in which the team operates. This approach recognizes that teams are complex systems with their patterns of behavior and that the success of the team is influenced by factors both within and outside of the team.
This program will equip you with the skills and knowledge to:
- Understand and improve Team dynamics in supporting team members to work together with Strong Team Relationships.
- Demonstrate the ability to apply the ICF Core Competencies in a team coaching context, integrating these skills with the specific demands and needs of team coaching.
- Apply co-creative and reflective processes with teams, empowering members to explore their collective abilities and potential and to align their efforts towards achieving common goals and shared purposes.
- Design and implement effective team coaching strategies, techniques, and approaches that address teams’ distinct needs to foster growth and development, improving their performance and desired success.
- Understand and apply systemic coaching principles to teams, recognizing how team coaching contributes to broader organizational goals, enhances systemic thinking, and drives overall organizational development and innovation.
To think systemically is to take a holistic integrative approach that recognizes the organization to be a complex entity, comprising interconnected parts urging both coach and leader to look beyond the dyadic relationship between coach and client and interpersonal relationships within a team, to consider the impact of other variables in the ‘system’.
The coach may use a range of tools and techniques to help the team understand its dynamics and improve its performance, such as team assessments, group facilitation, and individual coaching sessions.
Team coaching is one of the fastest-growing disciplines in the coaching profession, and through the ICF ACTC, qualified coach practitioners can demonstrate advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities in team coaching, allowing them to build upon their coaching competence as an ICF ACC, PCC, or MCC Credentialed coach.
