Making history for India, he secured the 15th rank in his age category during an event in South Africa, becoming the country’s first individual to qualify for the Ironman World Championship.

Raghul Mariner is an extraordinary athlete who has completed 10 Ironman events, each consisting of a 3.8 km swim, a 180 km cycle, and a 42.2 km run. Last year, he made history by becoming the first individual from India to qualify for the Ironman World Championship. He achieved this milestone by securing the 15th rank in his age category at an event in South Africa. The prestigious Ironman World Championship was held in Kona in 2022, marking a significant moment in his athletic journey. With seven years of experience in training others, he has mentored over 500 athletes in the disciplines of triathlon and running. Beyond training, he specializes in ‘Bike Fitting,’ a technical service aimed at enhancing cycling performance for both cyclists and triathletes. Before dedicating his life to athletic pursuits, he worked as a software developer until 2015. Most of his software career was spent at Polaris. He holds a qualification in Marine Engineering, further diversifying his impressive skill set.
