Curious about ‘Curiosity in Coaching’

May 28, 2022

This week’s live coaching session was led by Coacharya alumna and Master Coach Vinita Vin. After the session, several reflections were made by Vinita followed by feedback from Johnny (the coachee) and Cindy.

Vinita’s coaching style was simple and effective. What stood out the most was her way of picking up on metaphors that were dropped during the course of the webinar and how she expanded on them. Since this was also how most of the exploration was done, it became easier for the client to relate to the questions and made the session a success.

Vinita also pointed out how focusing more on the client and not the markers helps you become a better coach. Client centricity is the keyword that came up during the session. They also discussed how practising groundedness and having a pre-session ritual to ground oneself is significant in this process.

Learn about:

  • Exploring metaphors
  • Staying grounded
  • Importance of grounding yourself before a session
  • Client centricity
