ICF Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP)
Coach Training with Coacharya
Coacharya’s Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) is an effective and affordable way to complete your requirements towards ACC credential. In addition to classroom, learners spend two hours of self-study per module, and turn in assignments for trainer and peer review. Participants also engage in peer coaching for practice, and must complete at least 100 coaching hours with regular clients, as required by ICF. Furthermore, Coacharya supports former learners with free ongoing online programs, which can be applied towards credential renewal (CCE).
Completion of our Coaching Foundation program allows participants to pursue their ACC certification under the ACSTH route. Most of our learners, however, continue on with the Advanced Coaching course, for a total of 125 training hours + 10 hours mentored evaluation, and opportunity to pursue their PCC certification via ACTP route. You can learn about our Advanced program here.

ICF Core Coaching Competencies
What are the required coaching skills identified by ICF and how do they compare against those identified by other organisations?
Globally, our programs are offered virtually, via Zoom. Classes meet weekly, for 3 hours at a time, on a set day and time.
50% of session time is spent on interactive discussion of concepts and coaching applications. This happens through trainer instruction, question and answers, discussion on books and videos, coaching role-plays relating to live issues, and discussion of cases. The other half of each session is spent on observed/mentored coaching in pairs and teams (dyads/triads/fishbowl formats).
Some of the Observed Coaching sessions are conducted via live teleclass mode to familiarize students with telephonic/audio coaching. This prepares learners to be effective when working with clients across all media and timezones.
You can see a detailed outline of all modules covered in our coach training programs here. Or, please get in touch with us to request a PDF copy.
All Coaching Foundation program learners are expected to attend 60 hours of classroom instruction. Additionally, they will receive 10 hours of mentoring with a PCC or MCC level coach. In addition to ad hoc homework, learners must submit at least 2 recorded coaching conversations along with self-evaluation as well as at least 2 written assignments to witness their self-study throughout the program.
Upon successful fulfillment of Coacharya requirements outlined above, participants can apply for ACC credentials through the ASCTH route with ICF. Or, learners can continue their work with Coacharya and complete the Advanced Coaching program, which lets them apply for PCC credentials with ICF through ACTP route.
