Ignite Your Life Purpose: Find Your Passion and Thrive

Jun 24, 2024

The Power Within

The saying goes, “The spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak” [Bible, Matthew 26:41]. This highlights the potential for our inner spirit to be strong and focused, while our physical and mental aspects can struggle to keep pace. To bridge this gap and achieve seemingly impossible life purposes, we need to harness the spirit’s energy to empower our minds and bodies.

The Strength of the Flesh

Shifting focus, let’s delve into the realm of the physical. We’ll temporarily set aside questions of good or bad intentions behind our purpose. Nature operates on a principle of creation and destruction – a cosmic law. As humans, however, we adhere to both collective and individual ethical codes.

So, how can we, as energetic beings encased in physical form, cultivate the strength needed to fulfill our purpose?

Unearthing Your Strengths

As discussed before, patterns emerging from joyful past experiences can reveal your passions. These moments of joy often point toward your inherent strengths.

For example, some find recognition fulfilling, while others derive joy from creating positive change without external rewards. Still, others experience happiness through helping those in need, and some find it in meaningful relationships. Recognizing these patterns within yourself can illuminate your passions.

Your strengths fuel these joyful actions. Reflecting on what brought you joy can reveal a pattern, such as a natural ability to help people solve problems. Perhaps, material rewards weren’t the source of joy, but rather the act of guiding people towards self-awareness. The combination of supporting others in awareness creation and the power of empathetic communication can lead to finding success and joy in various roles, such as corporate leader, spiritual healer, and ultimately, a coach. Coaching perfectly aligns with these strengths and passions, making it a fulfilling and purposeful career path.

The Formula for Fulfillment

The key to happiness and success lies in integrating your purposeful passions with your strengths in all that you do. Passion fuels our actions with joy, providing the energy to strengthen our minds and body. Following your passion is rarely a misstep – it’s what your heart desires.

Here’s a practical approach:

  1. Identify Your Passions: Reflect on patterns of joyful experiences to identify your purposeful passions.
  2. Recognize Your Strengths: List the strengths that others and you yourself recognize as contributing to these joyful experiences.

By combining these two elements, you create opportunities for happiness, success, and fulfillment.

A Cautionary Tale

I have often encountered clients who achieve wealth and power at a young age, yet remain discontent and unhappy. They experience burnout and lose motivation for their pursuits. Sometimes, they feel stuck, unable to disengage from their chosen path, even if it brings them no joy. These individuals might understand their strengths but lack a connection to their passions. Strengths alone can lead to temporary success, but true happiness comes from aligning with your passions.

Reflection

Take a moment to reflect on these questions:

  • What are your passions?
  • What are your strengths?
  • What opportunities lie before you?

Exploring these questions can aid your journey of self-discovery and uncover your life’s purpose. But sometimes, we all need a guide. While introspection is a powerful tool, a coach can act as your personal compass, helping you navigate the uncharted waters of self-discovery and reach your full potential.
