It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.

Coacharya alumni are doing phenomenal work across sectors and we use this space to hear their stories of growth and impact.  Through these stories, we aim to help people to discover their own interests and passions and at the same time feel inspired by the change that coaching creates within ecosystems.

In our webinar series on the Impact of Coaching, we had the opportunity to listen to Manoj Kambadur, co-founder of Stoa, a new-age business education company. In conversation with Kiwa Singh, the Director of Marketing at Coacharya, Manoj shed light on the features of the STOA program and how it is different from other MBA programs in the market. Manoj also took a trip down memory lane and talked about his coaching journey at Coacharya and how coaching is a key component of the Stoa MBA program.

The STOA story

Some of the best ideas come to people when they are struggling with something. You know how sometimes, we all struggle with technology, applications, and websites? For some people, that moment of frustration is an impetus to creating something better, something more people can use with relative ease. Think about it, how many times have you found yourself in a position where someone’s expertise or knowledge could have made things easier for you?

As Manoj expanded on how STOA came into being, he talked about how many people are doubtful about leaving their jobs to invest in their education with the aim to make a career transition or advance their career. Manoj also shared his own experience of quitting a job to focus on pursuing his Business degree. And that is what he decided to make easier for other people with the STOA MBA program. With an aim to make education smooth and accessible, Manoj said that they wanted to create a shorter program and rope in industry experts to impart knowledge about the subjects in their program. This helps the participants to learn from the best and gather first-hand information about what’s happening in the real world and apply the skills needed to solve problems while they study.

Coaching journey

For Manoj, the interest in coaching also came from his venture STOA. While helping learners through a career transition, posing relevant and important questions to learners naturally became a part of Manoj’s work. Later, intensive research into coaching programs led him to his coach training program in Ontology.

Reminiscing about his journey, Manoj talked about how he finally decided to take the plunge and about his takeaways. “The support system and the program design were pretty good. It was quite rewarding and I learned a lot.”

My Takeaway

I would encourage you to watch this webinar to know more about Manoj’s innovative venture, and the impact coaching has had in his journey as a co-founder, in big and small ways. Please do share your thoughts with us on CoachNook or in the comments below.

Keep coaching! 🙂
