It’s that time of the year again when we look back at the journey that we’ve each been on and acknowledge and celebrate the highs and the lows. Why the lows, one might wonder? For in the peaks, our motivation soars to new heights, propelling us toward the zenith of our aspirations. Yet, it is in the valleys that we discern where we stand and unravel the blueprints for a better tomorrow.
In an illuminating conversation during Coacharya’s webinar, Master Coaches Cindy Muthukarapan and Vijayalakshmi S beautifully brought this point home. In their dialogue about lightness and celebration in coaching, they explored how these appear in the coaching space. The Master Coaches also discussed lightness and celebration in the coaching partnership.
Cindy opened the webinar by asking the audience members what they were celebrating. The chat box filled up with wonderful comments by the webinar attendees and words like empathy, compassion, and kindness came up. Taking the discussion forward, Cindy and Viji shared what they were celebrating. Like true coaches, Cindy and Viji articulated the importance of wellness. Cindy talked about celebrating time outs, silences, and pauses contributing to well-being. Viji beautifully described celebrating the capability for future growth. Talking about how we usually look for something tangible to celebrate or cherish, she poignantly said that we can also celebrate future possibilities.
