Biomimicry
The outcome of learning biomimicry in the coaching program is to understand nature as a model, measure and mentor.
Nature has mastered the art of adaptability, resilience, regeneration, co-operation, mutualism, optimal use of resources, survival against all odds, balance, and sustainable living. How can we learn these strategies from nature for our own personal evolution as well as in our role as a coach. In short, how can we effectively learn from nature as our teacher.
Design Thinking
Design Thinking means learning about the magic of process based outcomes. The learning outcome is to pick up concepts and tools from Design Thinking that will be helpful in coaching. Design Thinking offers very robust and rich tools and skills like empathy, interviewing skills, ideation, lateral thinking , prototyping and testing. Each of these tools can provide the coach to serve the client in a more effective way.
Systems Thinking Habits
Systems Thinking aspires to help us understand why problems happen in the first place. This understanding in turn helps the systems thinker look at the problem holistically. Habits such as big-picture thinking, considering short-term, long term, and unintended consequences, learning to look at different perspectives, resisting the urge to come to a quick conclusion, understanding that a system’s structure generates its behavior, helps the coach guide the client through intricate issues. Systems thinking makes the coach a wiser person. and wisdom is a desirable outcome.
